HCS Let's Glow Crazy Oct. 28th
 
 Let’s Glow Crazy 5k Set for October 28th
 Henderson County Schools will host Let’s Glow Crazy 5K on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Colonel Stadium, 2424 Zion Road, Henderson, Kentucky.
 
This community wellness event, typically held each May, will be held in the fall this school year. The event will kick off at 4:00 p.m. with a wellness fair, activities for children, and a kid’s fun run. The 5K Run/Walk will start at 6:00 p.m. and new this year, a 1 mile fun run/walk which will be held at 6:30 p.m.
 
The course is both outside and inside Henderson County High School and includes glowing Halloween effects. Health and wellness information booths, vendor giveaways, and free refreshments will be available to everyone who attends.
 
The registration fee for the 5K and 1 mile course is $10 for adults and $5 for children and includes a T-shirt and glow gear.Race T-shirts will only be guaranteed to those who register before October 17th.

Businesses and community organizations interested in participating in the wellness fair are asked to please call 270-831-5000 to reserve a booth.  
 
RACE T-SHIRTS WILL BE GUARANTEED ONLY FOR THOSE THAT PRE-REGISTER BEFORE OCTOBER 17TH
 
Henderson County Schools strategic plan includes creating a school culture that is embraced and promoted by the citizens of Henderson County and promoting health and wellness initiatives.  We are hosting this event to bring together our staff and the community for an evening of fun and fellowship. Our goal for this event is to keep costs at a minimum to give everyone the opportunity to participate in a race.

Henderson County Schools officially proclaims October 15-21, 2017, as Safe Schools Week.
Kentucky Safe Schools Week is set for October 15-21, 2017. Together we can “Get Involved and Get it Solved” STOP the Bullying! Henderson County Schools and the Kentucky Center for School Safety stand on the belief that everyone should enjoy school equally and be treated with respect. Community members, educators, students and parents are encouraged to get involved during Kentucky Safe Schools Week.

Update on 2018-19 Fall Break

Henderson County Schools does not expect Fall Break to be “removed” from the calendar for the 2018-2019 school calendar.
